Incentives
The Uptown Greenwood Development Corporation manages an Incentive Program for prospective, as well as existing Uptown businesses, ranging from money for signage to assistance with such things as Grand Opening celebrations and introductory advertising.
In order to receive Incentive monies, an Incentive Proposal Request form must be filled out by the interested party. The Uptown Greenwood Development Corporation Board of Directors will need the following information, in addition to the attached form, in order to review any requests:
- A letter addressing any specific assistance to be considered. Any known or estimated costs should be included with this request.
- An outline of any specific plans for which assistance is being sought.
- A detailed description of the requesting business, which can be addressed within the above letter.
- A copy of the businesses current lease agreement or contract to purchase.
After receiving all of the above information, it will be presented for review to the Board of Directors at the next UGDC Board Meeting. Businesses seeking incentive monies may request time on that meetings’ agenda to meet with the Board and answer any questions or further outline their plans.
